November 12, 7-8pm, Salomon room 202. Mayo Clinic School of Medicine Info Session. The Black Premed Society is hosting an in-person information session with a representative from theMayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine to talk about their program. All are invited to attend. Please register in advance.

November 15, 9am-5pm. Future of Aging Summit. This is a one-day interdisciplinary conference held in Boston and is designed to empower the next generation of changemakers in the aging space. Hosted in partnership with the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), this event brings together undergraduate and graduate students to explore innovative solutions to the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly aging population.  Please register to attend.

November 17, 7pm. University of Pittsburgh Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP) Presentation.  Come learn about the University of Pittsburgh’s PSTP program! The PSTP is a 5-year medical school program that adds a year of basic or translational research to the regular Pitt Med experience.  The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is also a research powerhouse with great clinical training and welcomes applications from students in all levels of study. December 2, 5:30PM. HCA Personal Statement Workshop #2. Join us for an in-person workshop to help you develop a strong and effective personal statement for your application. Come with the writing that you have done (bullet points, rough drafts, etc) and work with one another and your advisors to help shape your narrative. RSVP here.

February 2, 2025, 4:30 pm EST The D.O. Distinction: A Virtual Info Session for Prospective Medical Students: Are you interested in becoming a doctor? Do you want to make a difference in people’s lives with preventive whole-person care and medical treatment? Osteopathic medicine might be right for you! March 27-29th, 2026 Harvard Undergraduate World Pre-Health Conference: They are a global, student-led initiative dedicated to empowering future healthcare professionals through knowledge, mentorship, and connection since 2020. They are offering both in-person and virtual options, which will be held on Harvard’s campus or over Zoom respectively. This global event brings together aspiring pre-health students from across the globe to engage with healthcare leaders, explore pathways into the field, and connect with peers who share a passion for making an impact in medicine and health sciences. All Pre-Health Students: B2MR Baccalaureate to Medicine and Research @ the University of Colorado: The B2MR program provides multi-dimensional and research training in biomedical research for post-baccalaureate students looking to succeed in top-tier MD or MD-PhD programs. Additional information regarding the B2MR program can be found on the website.   They are currently accepting applications to the program for the 2026-2028 cohort. All Pre-Health Students: Global Health Experiential Fellowship –  2026 (Uganda): Empower Through Health invites applications for the Global Health Experiential Fellowship, a five-week mentored research and fieldwork program conducted in rural Uganda.

- Cohort 1: May 25 - June 24, 2026

- Cohort 2: July 6 - August 5, 2026

Fellows from American and Uganda universities will collaborate on community-based global health research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Rosenheck (Yale) and Dr. Yang Jae Lee (University of Washington). Participants gain hands-on field experience, mentorship in research design and publication, and the opportunity for co-authorship on a peer-reviewed paper, consistent with the program’s strong track record among 200+ alumni.

United Against Inequities in Disease (UAID) is the oldest national 501(c)3 student organization focused on health equity in the country (www.uaid.org).  Through their multifaceted initiatives - from their research-based, community-centered health equity projects to student leadership opportunities - they aim to reduce health inequities in our communities today and empower health equity leaders of tomorrow. Gap Year: 2 Year gap Opportunity Beacon Clinical REsearch, Derm Care Experts: In conjunction with Beacon Clinical Research, DermCare Experts offers its Combined Dermatology and Clinical Research Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Fellowship, an innovative two-year program in metro Boston designed to help college graduates gain extensive exposure to both dermatological patient care and clinical research. This is an immersive and diverse experience that strengthens the medical school application in this extremely competitive environment. Rising Seniors: Mass Brigham-Harvard Medical School Tech Foundation Remote Data Science 2026 Summer Internship:  Mass General Brigham-Harvard Medical School-TechFoundation Remote Data Science 2026 Summer Internship Program (national/virtual).  Apply your academic and theoretical understanding of STEM to real world medical problems and world-class research.  This unique, national, 100% virtual/remote summer internship pairs aspiring pre-meds/life science/data science rising college seniors and recent graduates with world-class principal investigators (PIs) from Harvard Medical School faculty and the Mass General Brigham Hospitals (including Dana Farber Cancer Center). Rising and Current  Seniors: (3) Paid Assistant  Opportunities in Surgical Dermatology with Dr. Stephen Kovacs: Dr Kovacs has 3 competitive surgical opportunities for current seniors who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in dermatologic and reconstructive surgery for the removal of head and neck skin cancers.  Over the next few months, I’ll be recruiting three graduating seniors who are interested in taking one or two gap years before applying to medical school. Research Assistant Positions at The Yoon Lab at the Palo Alto VA. There are two full-time positions available. Both will be mainly in-person, but opportunities for hybrid work may be possible after initial months in the role. Clinical Assistant Positions at Boston Specialists. The clinical assistant program is a unique opportunity for pre-med students to get first-hand experience working directly with patients. This program is developed specifically to prepare pre-med students who are pursuing a medical career. Upon completion of this training program, one could expect to have developed a better sense of professionalism in medicine, strong work ethic, improved skills in effective communication, and an appreciation for the patient/physician relationship. The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP). The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a FREE transformative six-week summer experience for students interested in the health professions. Intergenerational Changemakers Fellowship. The Legacy Project, Inc. with support from The Eisner Foundation, is excited to announce the inaugural launch of The Intergenerational Changemakers Fellowship. This is a 6 Month Fellowship (November 2025-April 2026) looking to redefine what civic action means in their communities. Participants will have the opportunity to build a connection with an older or younger adult in their hub city, as well as a national cohort of pairs from other cities. Each pair will engage in a four-month storytelling and writing exercise, culminating in the creation of a collective published book, and a two-month civic engagement project.Participants must reside in or proximate to one of the following six host areas: Boston, MA; New York City, NY; Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; Providence, RI; San Diego, CA/Santa Barbara, CA. Medical Observation and Scribe Training (MOST) Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic: The Cleveland Clinic Foundations Clinical Post-baccalaureate program is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Cohort starting November 1st! In partnership with Stanford University, the MOST Fellowship is a 12 month program designed to provide exceptional clinical experience and professional development to students while strengthening their applications to Medical school, PA school, and other health care programs. Stanford’s Clinical Observation and Medical Transcription (COMET) Fellowship. This is a 1-year, unparalleled, post-baccalaureate clinical experience with outstanding faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine. Opportunities for participating fellows include learning the art of medical documentation in one of their partnered specialties, engaging in research and quality improvement projects, supporting clinical operations and population health initiatives, and building connections with faculty, physician/PA/NP mentors and other pre-health students. University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Online Classes Spring 2026. The University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine is offering a few exciting online courses in the upcoming Spring semester that are specifically geared towards undergraduate students planning careers in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Technical Programs.   Undergraduate students at other colleges and universities can sign up for these 3 credit classes.  Classes will run from January 12th -April 22nd. Medical Career Design Fellowship: The Orthopedic Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  The fellowship is a funded research program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. A minimum 2-year commitment is required so it is a good fit for students interested in taking gap years to conduct clinical research. They will accept applications on a rolling basis until March 1. However, earlier applications are welcome and fellowship spots will be offered to the candidates on a rolling basis. More information can be found here.

Podiatric Shadowing: American Podiatric Medical Association.  Finding a mentor is a valuable step in your journey as a future podiatrist. Shadowing with a mentor will show you the day to day work of a DPM. This opportunity to follow a DPM at work allows you to see what kind of patients, what kind of issues, and what kind of environments you’ll encounter as a podiatrist.  You can ask questions about the podiatric medical school experience, work life balance, or anything else that you want to know more about the profession.
